Presentation slides are online
The presentation slides of most of the conference presentations are online available on the program page. We would like to thank all the oral and poster presenters for their interesting work, and all the participants for their active participation.

Congratulations to the ICA scholarship holders
We congratulate Omid Reza Abbasi and Xingyu Zheng for receiving an ICA scholarship to participate in the LBS conference. ICA scholarships are grants to support young scientists or professional individuals in advancing their careers in cartography and GIScience to the benefit of the ICA community.
Xingyu Zheng is a PhD student at Nanjing Normal University, China. He submitted a paper on A Hidden Markov model for indoor tracking Based on Bluetooth fingerprinting and Grid filtering.
Omid Reza Abbasi works at Khaje Nasir Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He submitted a paper on Ranking the City: The Role of Location-Based Social Networks in Collective Human Mobility Prediction.
We congratulate Xingyu Zheng and Omid Reza Abbasi and wish them all the best for their further careers.

Program of the LBS research agenda workshop available online
We have just make the program of the LBS research agenda workshop online.
This workshop is part of the LBS Research Agenda Initiative, which aims to develop a cross-cutting research agenda, identifying key research questions and challenges that are essential for the LBS development in the next 5 or 10 years.
Online proceedings are now available
The online proceedings of LBS 2016 have been published. You can explore the proceedings using the following options:
Deadline extension for camera-ready papers/extended abstracts for the online proceedings
Due to several requests, we have extended the deadline for camera-ready submissions for the online proceedings to 17 October 2016. Please use the submission guideline “Contributions accepted for the online proceedings“.
Please note that there will be no further extension of the deadline. Looking forward to meeting you in Vienna!
Preliminary Program is Online
Our first preliminary program is online (more showcases will come). We ask all authors to check it and confirm it by registering before 2 October 2016. (At least one presenter per contribution. If you did so already, you can ignore this, of course.)

Author registration and early bird registration: deadline extension
Early Bird rates have been extended to 2 October 2016. Please register before this date to get a cheaper registration fee.
We have also extended the registration deadline for oral/poster presenters to 2 October 2016. Please note at least one author of each accepted oral/poster presentation must register for the conference by 2 October 2016. The infringement of this rule will cost an accepted submission to be excluded from the LBS 2016 publication means.
