The Vienna University of Technology
is pleased to invite you to the 8th International Symposium on Location-Based Services in Vienna,
Our first preliminary program is online. We ask all authors to check it and confirm it by registering before 17 October 2011. (At least one presenter per paper. If you did so already, you can ignore this, of course.)
As we have a high number of presenters we decided to have short time slots of 10 and 15 minutes to allow for more time for networking in the breaks.
Are you planning your trip to Vienna already? This might be interesting for you: our participants can get free access to an MP3-based city guide for Vienna. You can download a series of MP3 files to your audio player and get in-depth information about famous and interesting spots in Vienna. The service is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Chinese.
Interested? Go to the Viennese Hotel and City Guide and use »LBS11« to start your free download.
Dear authors, this is to remind you of the deadlines. All papers accepted for the Springer book have to be submitted until 11 Septemer 2011 in accordance with the guidelines. There will be no deadline extension.
And good news for authors of papers that were accepted for the digital proceedings: the deadline was extended to 30 October 2011.
We just activated the registration page. The early bird registration discount ends on 18 September 2011.
Finally we managed to complete the reviewing process. We just sent out the notifications to all corresponding authors – in case you didn't get yours, please inform us at info@lbs2011.org.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our reviewers who helped us in coming to decisions. Thank you!
Dear authors, thank you for your submissions in the Full Paper and Work in Progress categories.
Due to the summer time we encounter delays in the reviewing process. We hope to send you the information of acceptance until the end of July. We are sorry for any inconveniences this might cause. Of course, we will postpone the following deadlines accordingly.
We received about 60 submissions in the Work in Progress and Full Paper categories. Thank you for your contribution! We will now start the reviewing process and inform you about its results in July.
As we did not get any submissions in the Showcases category (see Call for Papers) yet, we invite you to submit proposals in this category until September 18.
